Now a lot of people will be interested in hearing about how you started in the fashion world.0:19
Well, to be honest, I had no idea that I would end up in this business.0:25
I was good at drawing when I was a kid, but I never did any designs for clothes.0:29
It happened more or less by accident.0:34
A very fashion conscious friend of mine asked me to help her design a hat for some school competition and to my surprise, we won first prize.0:36
I realised that I had talent and decided to use it.0:44
So what was your first job in the world of fashion?0:47
Actually, my first job was rather an accident too.0:51
I sent some designs to a company but strangely enough they liked my photograph better and called me and asked me to model for them.0:54
They didn't seem to even bother with my sketches.1:01
That's an amazing story.1:05
And there's more to come.1:09
I did some modeling, but I wasn't too keen on it.1:10
I was determined to become a designer and I always took my portfolio of sketches with me to shows.1:13
Well, one night I left my sketches behind and guess what?1:20
This well known designer found them.1:24
He phoned me immediately and asked me to come and work for him.1:26
And how old were you then, Margaret?1:31
I had just turned 21.1:33
From then on it was all work.1:35
I joined a team whose job it was to come up with new designs for dresses and shoes.1:37
Mostly I stayed in that company for about five years and I think everybody was impressed by me there.1:41
But I realized that I wanted to do something different.1:48
The company style was a bit too old fashioned for me.1:52
Would you say that was the deciding moment in your career then?1:56
Yes, without a doubt.2:00
But after 14 months being unemployed, I finally decided to get a loan and set up my own business.2:05
It all went very quickly from there.2:11
Before I knew it, I was designing clothes for famous actresses like Angelina Hughes and Elizabeth Howard.2:13
That's a success story if ever I heard one.2:20

We have over 200 outlets and we are launching our brand new jewellery collection soon in our new shop in Tokyo.2:29
